Death Valley Daze 2004 Four-Wheeling Adventure

Auguerebery Point, outside of Skidoo is about 6400' elevation with a tremendous view of Badwater.

Chloride City Crystal Caves, a secret spot of mine. These cave walls are lined with crystals -- everything you see.

Chloride City has plenty of mining remains left to explore and photograph, just like this old loading chute.

The road past Monarch Canyon to Chloride City/Cliffs is twisty but fun. Our convoy had a ball.

Unexpectedly, the sand dunes of Death Valley have unique crusty soil formations like look nearly fake.

The Death Valley Sand Dunes are an impressive sight in the right light (early morning). Shadows and wind waves give the dunes a surreal appearance. You must walk to these dunes, so take water with you.

The entrance to Grotto Canyon, outside Stovepipe Wells is a water wonderland -- rock grottos that you can climb and explore --- if you're adventuresome.

Phinney Canyon has trees (Limber Pine and Pinyon Pine).  I have also found herds of wild horses here.
