Del Adding More Goodies to Jeep

Fall 2003 Upgrades to C UN RD.

Stay tuned for more photos. I'm adding a long arm kit, belly up kit, more skid plates, ARB Old Man Emu 4" coils and Nitro shocks, 1" body lift, and BFG donated 35 x 12.50 MT's. Yikes. I'm bad.

Richard Yeargan, President of Motherlode Rockcrawlers and owner of Amador Automatic Transmissions got on the end of some tools to help Del with this set of upgrades. In fact, Richard gave Del the use of his shop and lift for this job, and it sure made things easier. Here Richard drills for the ARB donated Old Man Emu shock bracket extender. Banged up parts and hanging brackets usually need some repair before you can install new parts like this.
A good example of parts needing repair before new stuff can be added. Richard welded this lower control arm bracket back together for me. The Terraflex Long Arm Kit fits in the old brackets on the axles (if they're not too banged up), but you have to put new brackets on the frame. The kit comes with everything and it's a great set up.
Part of the upgrade was this Skid Row bitchen front diff cover for a Dana 44 -- with a built on skid plate!! Even the botls are recessed and protected. Now this simple upgrade will save me some heartache for sure.
After cutting off the old lower control arms in preparation for the long arm kit, we cut and ground the old brackets off. A little paint and these will be like new.
ARB donated these new 4" coils and Nitrol shocks to help support my access efforts. Boy, I like the looks of these guys. Nice stuff (Old Man Emu).
