4x4 Club Witnesses (and reports) Wildfire to USFS Motherlode Rockcrawlers Get First Hand View of Burnside Fire of Hope Valley While on a club campout for Labor Day weekend, a wildfire started across the road (Hwy. 88) from us, in Hope Valley, CA, not far from Lake Tahoe. Several airplanes and helicopters fought the fire, as well as ground troops. The air show was quite spectacular because we were pretty close to the action.
