VLLS is a three day intense workshop designed to train volunteers to lead other volunteers to victory! Designed and conducted by Del Albright, students work in teams to learn more on subjects like Public Speaking, Volunteer Supervision, Facilitation and Meeting Management, Team Building, Recreational Incident Command System (RICS), Erosion Control, and Volunteer Development.

Several Class #1 alumni attended this workshop to serve as coaches and instructor assistants. Those alumni included Dan Stra (CT), Doug Barr (NV), Rusty Folena (CA), John Stewart (CA), Mike Overmeyer (CA), and Dennis Mayer (CA). Dennis Mayer also served as the Logistics Chief to set up the course, pay the bills and arrange for student lodging and meals at Robbs Resort.

Student graduates of Class #2 were: Brandon Chappell, Bob Van Zant, Jerry Sparkman, Mike Ross, Todd & Teresa Ockert, Gary Lefler, Deborah Pulskamp, Scott Emmons, Pete Newell, Randy Burleson, Don Spuhler, Mark Langford, Mike Jackson, Brian Whitford, and Bret Preble.

All students and potential students are encouraged to also enroll and complete the Recreational Leadership Training Course (RLTC). Learn more about RLTC here.

Please stay in touch with Del if you are interested in attending a future VLLS workshop.
