Volunteer Leader & Land Stewardship (VLLS) Workshop 2007

Robbs Resort, CA

The 2007 session of the VLLS workshop was a huge success. 21 students graduated with honors -- 21 leaders with more tools to help them lead volunteers to victory.

VLLS is free to students because it is sponsored by the following: Rubicon Trail Foundation; Calif. Assoc. of 4Wheel Drive Clubs Foundation; BlueRibbon Coalition; Jeepers Jamboree; and AA-Fab.com. All meals, lodging and course costs are covered by these awesome sponsors who want to help us keep our trails open.

VLLS is about leading volunteers to victory, while avoiding burnout. These new graduates join an elite force of volunteer leaders trained to take the right steps, the next steps, to VICTORY for responsible motorized access to our lands.

Students included:

Rock Rhandii's: Dale Robins, Shannon Chard, Rick Ferdon, Kurt Schneider, Joe Sand, and Sherry Stortroen.

Catalyst for Action: Kyra, John Gillmore, Rick Krause, Ken Upchurch, and Jacquelyn Theisen (Bebe).

Area 52: John & Barb Arenz, George Richardson, Kevin Carey, Gene Ockert

Old Farts Wheelin': Ken Knull, Gary White, Ralph LaRossa, Goeff Holloway, and Gary Gambill

The students produced (through facilitation and consensus building) a list of the top issues facing our motorized sports. Those issues were:

Access
Education
Image
Route Designation Process
Relationships
Ideology
Apathy
Impact on the environment
Funding
