RUBICON TRAIL: CONTROL OIL SPILLS

"Control Oil Spills" Sign on Highway 50 Near Placerville

The El Dorado County Environmental Management Department obtained grant funds to help promote a cleaner and healthier trail. This sign (billboard) was up on highwy 50 near Camino describing the oil spill recovery and cleanup program. See sign (more here).

Everyone needs to do their part to keep our trail clean.  Oil spills and fluid leaks must be cleaned up. Small leaks add up. Further, fluid leaks contribute the pollution of trails and waterways if not properly cleaned up. Carry gear and supplies with you that will allow you to keep your fluids off the trail.

Thank you El Dorado County, again, for helping us to keep the Rubicon Trail alive and well!
