RUBICON TRAIL LITTLE SLUICE BYPASS PROJECT 2003 (HISTORICAL RECORD)
As approved by the ROC, this project created a permanent bypass around Little Sluice that is negotiable by modified stock rigs. The important thing is that it took care of a nasty roll over condition, while still allowing the Little Sluice to remain as is. Concrete was used to permanently affix rocks into ramps, providing a stable foundation for wheeled travel. It was constructed to look natural and blend in with the other rocks in the area. It was a great project. We used the Recreational Incident Command System (RICS) for this project.
